Transgender Day of Remembrance

This year at Queen’s we’re remembering, along with the international LGBT community, the lives of transgendered people and those who were murdered by anti-transgender hatred or prejudice.

In the space of a decade, 236 trans people have been murdered (1997-2007, stats from the Remembering Our Dead Web Project)

On Tuesday 18th November 2008 we’re showing The Rocky Horror Picture Show in the ETLC at 7pm room SR4. Admission is free and everyone is encouraged to bring as many friends as possible. ” Don’t dream it – be it.”

On Thursday November 20th QUB LGBT are hosting a presentation by the Belfast Butterfly Club (8pm PFC room 211) and observing a two minute silence (12pm SU).
