A few reminders about some exciting events happening this week:
Open Your Mind
From Monday – Thursday, NUS-USI in conjunction with Rethink are hosting a fair promoting mental health awareness in the student body. Come visit us in the Student’s Union on the 3rd Floor and you can book in for a free massage, reflexology, aromatherapy, grab a free lunch, get some info about mental health, and bag some cool free stuff! For more info, see www.bebo.com/openyourmind08.
NI LGBT Pub Crawl
Organised by the lovely people at UU, there is a pub crawl on Thursday night, incorporating Dubarry’s, Mynt, Union Street and Kremlin. We are meeting at 9pm in Bar Sub in the Student’s Union, so come along and meet a bunch of new people!

Day of Silence is a national youth movement protesting the silence faced by lesbian, gay, bisexual and transgender people and their allies. People are deliberately silent for the day to echo that silence, which is caused by harassment, prejudice and discrimination. Ending the silence is the first step toward fighting these injustices.
Founded in 1996, the Day of Silence® has become the largest single student-led action towards creating safer schools for all, regardless of sexual orientation, gender identity or gender expression. From the first-ever Day of Silence® at the University of Virginia in 1996, to the organizing efforts in over 1,900 middle schools, high schools, colleges and universities across the country in 2002, its textured history reflects its diversity in both numbers and reach.
