This year Queen’s LGBT Society is becoming politically active. We will be joining campaigns run by the NUS LGBT Campaign and the USI LGBT Campaign, as well as running a few of our own. We will also be forging links with other Societies at Queen’s, such as RAG and Amnesty.
If you are interested, you are warmly invited to our Activism Meetings, the first of which is being held on Tuesday 23rd October.

Also new this year we will be introducing the Buddy Scheme. This gives you the opportunity to get to know two of our members before you come to your first meeting. You will meet in the Student’s Union with both a male and female member of the Society.

Anyone parched?
This year we will be a starting a regular coffee afternoon. These will be on Wednesdays at 1.15pm in Clements @ Student Union. This will be an friendly, laidback event, designed so that you can get to meet new people in a smaller group setting.
Of particular note is the coffee afternoon on Wednesday 3rd October. Come along and meet some of our members before the first official meeting the following day – we know how scary the first meeting can be!
There will always be a few people there, so come grab a coffee, a muffin and have a chat! Hopefully see you there!
